UNDERSTANDING WHAT HAPPENED

The three categories of tests investingate different types of sitiuationsand circumstances

STANDARD TESTS

For each test we describe what it looks for and why we do it, what we would do about the results, with links to relevant literature

APS testing (LA and ACA + b2GP1)

Thyroid function and TPO

CONDITIONAL TESTS

Cytogenetics starting with the 3rd miscarriage

Prolactin if irregular cycles/breast symptoms

FSH/LH/E2 if concerns about regularity/ovarian reserve/delayed conception

MRI for some suspected uterine anomalies + assessment of KUB

Hysteroscopy for suspected type 0-1-(2) fibroids, septum, polyps

3D USS as above

Androgens for PCOS and other endocrine concerns

Homocysteine for suspected hyperhomocysteinemia associated with PCOS (ESHRE)

Parental karyotype after 5 RM or if cytogenetics suggest

Tissue transglutaminase (tTG) antibodies (IgA + IgG) and endomysial antibodies (IgA + IgG) for celiac disease / gluten intolerance

RESEARCH / ADD-ON TESTS
